On 12 April 2014, the Bethel-Door of Hope Counselling Centre was launched at 33A Jalan 4/47, Section 4 Petaling Jaya.
Door of Hope is an NGO founded by Daniel Lee who worked for many years with Malaysia Care in its work amongst prisoners and drug rehabilitation centres. Daniel is a registered counsellor with the government.
We are partnering with Door of Hope to establish this Counselling Centre with the aim of helping Firstly, ex-prisoners and recovering drug addicts and alcoholics to re-integrate into society, providing them with a safe place where they can receive counselling and practical help with getting jobs, avoiding issues that would derail their rehabilitation, etc.
Secondly, residents of PJ who have a need for professional counselling and may not be able to afford high fees will now be able to access counselling and care in PJ itself as part of our service to the community.
